Coin Games
Coin Games is one of those titles that explains itself in about ten seconds and then quietly eats an hour. You slide and flick small tokens across a board, matching them by shape and colour, and the whole thing runs on satisfying physics. Each coin clinks and settles with a weight that makes the simple act of tidying up feel oddly good.
The levels ramp up gently. Early boards are wide open, then the game starts adding ledges, gates and timed slots that force you to think about order instead of just tapping. We liked that the difficulty comes from spatial puzzles rather than fiddly precision, so it stays comfortable even one-handed on the train.
Controls are the strong point. Everything is drag, flick and the occasional long press, with no stray buttons cluttering the screen. On our test phones it stayed cool and barely touched the battery, which makes it an easy pick for short sessions.
What we liked
- Chunky, satisfying physics on every token
- One-handed friendly with no button clutter
- Very light on battery and heat
