The settings that actually save your battery
Most mobile games ship with settings tuned to look impressive in a store screenshot, not to be kind to your battery. The good news is that five minutes in the options menu usually fixes it.
Start with the frame rate cap. A lot of games default to 60 or higher, and dropping to 30 in a slow-paced title halves the heat with almost no change to how it feels. I only keep high frame rates for racers and action games where it matters.
Next is resolution scaling, often hidden under a graphics quality slider. Knocking it down one notch is nearly invisible on a phone screen but can noticeably reduce how hot things get during long sessions.
Turn off background haptics and screen-wide particle effects if the game lets you. They're the quiet battery drains nobody notices until the phone is warm. And lower screen brightness indoors, the single biggest factor people forget.
None of this is dramatic on its own, but stack them together and a game that used to eat twenty percent an hour drops to something you can actually travel with.
